Embossing Help

These are generic instructions for using my emboss products. These instructions should work with most graphics programs.
 
1. Open the paper that you want to emboss.
2. Duplicate your paper, close your original.
3. Open your embossing overlay paper, element, word art etc.
4. Copy your embossing overlay to the clipboard.
5. Make your paper your active document by clicking on it.
6. Paste your embossing overlay as a new layer from the clipboard to your paper.
7. Go to your layers palette and change the blend mode on the embossing overlay to overlay. The embossing should now show on your paper.
8. If you are using an embossing element or word art. Select your move tool and move the emboss to where you want it placed on your paper.
 
If you would like more depth with your embossing, try duplicating the embossed layer. If you would like it more subtle, try lowering the opacity or try changing the blend mode to soft light.
