Do you have some solid papers that are just sitting on your harddrive because they just don't really do much for your layouts? Try applying one of the embossed overlays as an overlay above your existing paper to turn it into something special. Create a beautiful paper with a texture you can almost touch.
I suggest trying the overlay blend mode. Start out at 100%. If you would like a more subtle emboss, drop the opacity or try soft light. If you would like more texture and more pop, try duplicating the layer or try the hard light blend mode.
